It is finally time college football is fully back this weekend. After the perfect spinach dip appetizer that week 0 was, it is time for the main course, the 24oz bone in ribeye cooked to a perfect medium rare, Week 1. Labor Day is the best holiday this country has to offer. 3 day weekend, College football from noon till 1am on Saturday, games on Sunday and a little cherry on top with some Monday night college football. And to add to this great holiday is the launch of Big Hunt’s Pick Corner. Every week I will be giving you some thoughts on last week picks and where they went right cause I don’t miss(just kidding I’m a bad gambler and will mostly be recapping how if some dumb coach made a decision that cost us a win and that is the reason why we lost the bet not cause of it but its not our fault we picked the wrong side). So let’s get into it.
Thursday Night
Colorado at Georgia Tech(-6.5, o/u 50.5) Kickoff 8pm ESPN (Bobby Dodd Stadium at Hyundai Field, Atlanta, GA)
This is a game that I think is going to be gross. Colorado has the more veteran team but I think they are going to be stinky. Then you have Georgia Tech who have been Haynes King merchants the last couple of years with his superman cape on and now he is on the bum ass Carolina Panthers. We are going to stay away from the spread on this but i love the under.Yes I know cheering for no points is the worst and no fun but Georgia Tech has a loaded backfield and is going back to the Paul Johnson days and is going to run the hell out of the ball and shrink the game. Then I don’t trust the Colorado offense at all. Besides Shedeurrrrr and Travis Hunter were they(and even then it was ok at best) the Buffs have never been that great at scoring points.
The Pick: under 50.5
Saturday Slate
North Texas at Indiana(-40.5, o/u 55.5) kickoff 12pm FOX (Merchants Bank Field at Memorial Stadium, Bloomington, IN)
This one is simple. Cignetti shows no mercy in these games. Everyone left North Texas and is at Okie State. Indiana is going to be good again this year. This is a system play. Cig will run this thing and leave no doubt.
The Pick: Indiana -40.5
Clemson at LSU(-10, o/u 50.5) 7:30pm ABC (Tiger Stadium, Baton Rouge, LA)
This is the main event on Saturday. This is the LSU debut of Joey Freshwater aka the Lane Train aka Lane Kiffin and he is about to go buckwild. Clemson will have a good defense but I have 0 faith in their offense. Clemson’s QB room is not good. If LSU is who we think they are they should boat race Clemson. Night game in Baton Rouge with a lot of drunk cajun playing the villain role means it’s going to be hostile as hell. We ride the LSU train this week and if Lane fucks us we will remeber this for the rest of the year.
The Pick: LSU -10.5
UNLV at Hawai’i(+3, o/u 56.5)10pm The CW (Clarence T.C. Ching Athletics Complex, Honolulu, HI)
Last year I rode the hell outta Dan Mullen and the Runnin Rebs. Good Qb and bad defense and it looks like we have that same recipe back in Sin City this year. Jackson Arnold is perfect for this level of football. He is gonna score points and turn it over and help the other team put some points up. Hawai’i defense is also trash. So this is another system play. Bad defenses and at least 1 good offense. In Dan Mullen we trust(typing that made me yak)
The Pick: Over 56.5
UCLA at Cal(+1.5, o/u 53.5) 10:30pm ESPN (California Memorial Stadium, Berkeley, CA)
New coaches, new teams, but 2 really damn good QBs. Nico vs JKS. This is an old school Pac-12 after dark game just now its Big Ten vs ACC. This game is going to be the opposite of our Friday game of ground and pound and be pure Air Raid. This game is going to be awesome. Bummed it’s a 10:30pm game and as an old man making it to the end of this game is going to be hard but it’s going to be FIREWORKS. I love the over here. POINTS.POINTS.POINTS
The Pick: over 53.5

Oh and little season-long pick Cincinnati under win total of 5.5. They are starting JC French at qb and he is terrible. This pick is because he should not be starting for a team in the FBS that wants to win games. And just look at that stupid goatee.
