What a dogshit Saturday of picks I gave you, and I apologize. But we will build back better.
The Good
There wasn’t much good, but our boy Kamario Taylor was awesome. They are going to burn us at some point. I know it. Butttttttt we are going to keep riding them until the damn wheels fall off.
Both of them Dawgs are hell.
The Bad
Wooooof.
We are lucky LSU made it close in the second half because that game looked like it was going to get sideways and not be fun. I really thought we were going to get that over. That one hurt a lot.
Indiana got so close to covering this number. All the metrics told us this should have been a cover. I think where we really lost this game was Indiana giving up a 15-play drive that ate seven minutes off the clock. Miami looked like ass all night and completely disinterested, which sucked.
Tennessee only punted the ball once and let Kennesaw State have some long drives. Yet we still got close to that cover. Just brutal that we couldn’t get over the hump.
Finally, those Alabama bastards.
I guess Mike Norvell only cares about beating Alabama. If it wasn’t for that rain delay, I think FSU might have closed that out and won outright.

Texas at Tennessee

Orange vs. Orange.
Week 1, I said Tennessee fans think it’s ’98 again with this 3-0 start. The problem with that is THEY AIN’T PLAYED NOBODY, PAWLLLL!
I’m still not fully sold on Texas yet, but I think Tennessee is mid as hell. Plus, a freshman QB against Coach Boom? That’s a matchup I’m willing to attack.
I still need to see more from Arch to believe the hype, but Saturday could be the right step forward. I think Texas has the talent advantage, and there is a chance this thing gets ugly.
The Pick: Texas -5.5
Ole Miss at Florida
Florida (-3.5), O/U 60.5 | Kickoff 3:30 PM ABC

This one feels like a trap.
Why is Florida a favorite? How did this open at 1.5 and then run all the way up to 3.5?
Yes, this is a massive letdown spot for the Rebs after last week. But this is a veteran team that has bigger goals than just beating LSU.
I’m also going to trust Trinidad Chambliss against newcomer Aaron Philo.
I may be setting us up for failure here, but we trust the Rebs on the road. I would also look at the over here.
The Pick: Ole Miss +3.5
South Carolina at Alabama
Alabama (-12.5), O/U 54.5 | Kickoff 7:00 PM ESPN

We are going back to the Bama well here.
I think South Carolina isn’t very good, and I do not trust them on the road here. LaNorris Sellers hasn’t gotten any better since he burst onto the scene a couple of years ago.
This Bama defense can be nasty and likes to force turnovers. And as I said last week, Beamer is a goob and will continue to be a goob until he’s fired.
I hate believing in Bama, and it makes my skin crawl, but this bet is about downgrading South Carolina heavily.
The Pick: Bama -12.5
Oregon at USC
USC (+3), O/U 62.5 | Kickoff 7:30 PM NBC
Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, Los Angeles, CA
This game is a tricky one.
I don’t know how much I trust Lincoln Riley in this spot, but Oregon has not been good either. Logic tells us this Oregon defense should be able to stop USC with all the young guys USC has outside of the QB.
Yet this defense has looked bad in its two games against FBS opponents.
Oregon has beaten USC pretty much every chance they’ve gotten over the last decade. With all that said, I like USC here.
Dante Moore has been tipping plays all year, so how much will that be in the back of his head? If USC jumps Oregon early, will Oregon panic?
Let’s see what the Trojans are made of.

I don’t think Mizzou is that great, and I’m obviously allllll in on Kamario.
If you have been reading the blog this year, I’ve talked about auto-bets and riding with a team all year. Miss State is officially that team.
We will get burned at some point this year. I want everyone reading this to remember that. But this will not be one of those weeks.
After coming back home following a couple of big road games, Davis Wade is going to be rocking with the cowbells under the lights.
It might be a sluggish start, but in Kamario we trust.
